The dream team Mohanlal and Blessy is back with a good movie Brahmaram . The story begins with Shivan Kutty also known as Jose ( Mohanlal ) who is currently in Coimbatore. He is eagerly searching for a man in the city and finally manages to find him . He is none other than Jose's schoolmate Unni who is a very successful man living happily with his family. Jose begins to stay with the family and in no time things take a turn and soon Unni realizes that Jose is there with a motive and he informs the same to his close friend Alex .They were all part of a tragic incident and now all on a sudden, he had come there with an agenda.

Apparently, the story goes into a flashback mode which has Jose going through an incident and right now he is on a revenge mode. What follows is a roller coaster ride of tense moments across different locations and this has to be watched on the screen only.

Among the best things about the film is the cinematography by Ajayan Vincent that adds to the mood of the story in a huge way. The music of Mohan Sithara, is melodious especially Mohanlal’s Annarakanna song which is another highlight of the film. Editing was crisp and the art department was also impressive. Costumes and locations were mesmerizing.

Coming to the cast, it was Mohanlal all the way who came up with yet another brilliant performance, Bhoomika could have been better but she was sweet, the child artiste was a bit stiff, Suresh Menon was in control, Lakshmi Gopalaswamy was luscious as usual but her performance is credible, Murali Krishnan was apt. Jayalakshmi was alright and others did their bit with ease.

The film has come across as a rather good mix of suspense and sentiment as well. While the first half goes about with the pace of a thriller and builds up the excitement, the second half gets a bit slow due to the flashback mode and then culminates into an absorbing climax. The movie has got some really good technical values and equally competent performances. The credit also goes to the director for his deft handling of the script and Mohanlal's exceptional act.

Blessy has stamped his signature on Bhramaram. A simple story, lots of emotions, fabulous frames and some haunting moments. Still, in the end, it is the power packed performance from Mohanlal that turns out to be the real strengthof the film.

This will shine at the box office and will appeal to the family audience as well.

Verdict : Superhit
